The Para Rescue Association of Canada is pleased to announce that a Reunion to mark the 80th Anniversary of Canadian Forces SAR will be held in Comox, BC. 11-15 September 2024.

As well, it is the 100th Year Anniversary of the of the RCAF and the 35th year since inception of the Para Rescue Association. Also, this year will see the return of SAREX from 9-13 September 2024., hosted by 442 Sqn in Comox which will provide opportunities to take part in some of the events held during this period. Due to these simultaneous events, the Association is asking the Membership who want to commemorate this event to ensure their bookings and accommodations are done soonest.

The Reunion Planning Committee is organizing a 80th Anniversary Reunion with details as follows:

Dates: 11-15 September

Location: Courtenay

Event Tickets: Tickets are available now through Eventbrite once again. 

 Accommodations: 

The Best Western Coast Westerly Hotel has provided us with 29 Rooms at $159.00, plus taxes. This includes a continental breakfast. Bill Shaw will be contact person for any concerns regarding hotel accommodations. Rooms are separate from the Reunion Fee and must be booked and paid by attendees directly with the Hotel.

We also have a room allocated for the Hospitality Suite which will be available on a daily basis as a perk of the full weekend pass.

“Para Rescue Reunion Room Block” with dates of 11-15 September. The room rate is $159.00 per night and must be reserved with credit card and paid by you on check-out. . 

Event Full Weekend Price

The price for this Event is $ 200.00 per person, plus any additional activities. This includes the Meet n Greet, Themed Night and Banquet (3 meals provided), Live Entertainment by the band Boondock, etc. and access to the Hospitality Suite all weekend, etc.

Venue

All events will be held at the Best Western Coast Westerly Hotel. These will take place in the Ballroom on Wednesday, Friday and all-day Saturday the 14th of September 2024. There will also be various additional events that will be available to our membership throughout the 4 days (for an additional cost). Timings will be provided, as we get closer. Some of the events will be as follows:

AS REUNIONS ARE A PERK OF ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP, ATTENDEES MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION TO PARTICIPATE. MEBERSHIP DUES ARE $30.00 PER YEAR.
